I wanted to be a vegetarian as a child, but everyone said it couldn’t be done. I heard it all: How will you get your protein? Don’t you need meat to survive? Won’t you miss it? You can't be healthy.
With the independence college afforded me, I made the switch. But it was harder than I expected. I knew how to avoid meat, but I struggled staying healthy without sacrificing taste. I learned through trial and error, and there were lots of errors!
Over the years, my desire to learn how to keep my family as healthy as possible led me to develop my own healthy lifestyle, and inspired me to explore ways to help others learn about healthy food choices, self-care and nutrition.
I don't believe that every person is the same, therefore i don't believe that everyone should follow the same way of eating or living , and I never preach that any one way is the "best" way. Everyone is unique and I strive to help my clients find their own personal best way.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied hundreds of dietary theories, from time-tested to trendy, as well as practical lifestyle coaching methods. I learned from top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University's Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
With this knowledge of holistic nutrition, health coaching and preventative health, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
